2024-25 Recruitment Plans
Our programs will be recruiting through a number of different venues this year! Most programs will have virtual information sessions (details below) that we encourage candidates to attend! We will have limited in person presence at live showcases, but also welcome candidates to visit with us at NCAP and ASHP Residency Showcases!
Programs will interview either entirely virtual or entirely in-person (no hybrid options). Please visit each individual program to get information about interview plans!

Thank you for your interest in the UNC Medical Center Pharmacy Residency Programs! Over 55+ years, our programs have remained committed to the training of highly capable practitioners, educators, and leaders in pharmacy. We rely heavily on this experience to ensure that we continue to train competent and compassionate pharmacists.
There are a few aspects of our programs I would like to highlight as things I think set them apart:
- Focus on Education: Education and training is a core part of our mission at the UNC Medical Center Department of Pharmacy. Whether didactic, experiential, or mentorship in nature, teaching is part of what motivates every one of our 100+ pharmacy preceptors. Our partnership with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, the #1 ranked school of pharmacy in the nation, allows our residents to participate in the delivery of a rigorous and challenging PharmD curriculum, teaching in unique and innovative styles of delivery and learning from world-class faculty.
- Track Record of Practice Advancement: Clinical practitioners at UNC are consistently pushing the profession to new levels of excellence. Our clinical and research programs have been nationally recognized year after year as leaders in practice transformation that promote positive outcomes for practitioners, learners, and patients.
- A Commitment to Our Team Members: We firmly believe that the best way to allow residents and clinicians to achieve is to support them in the pursuit of both professional and personal goals.
