CBT/Relapse Prevention Group (Abstinence-Based)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the evidence-based model used in this group. This abstinence-based group is for individuals whose goal is to remain abstinent from drug/alcohol use or to attain abstinence from drug/alcohol use if the motivation to do so is present. This group is held every Monday in-person 1:00-3:00 PM.
Recovery in ACTion
The Recovery in ACTion group utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and relapse prevention skills to help participants navigate life's challenges by fostering psychological flexibility. ACT encourages individuals to accept their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling overwhelmed by them, while also committing to actions that align with their personal values. This group meets in-person on Tuesdays 2:00-4:00 PM.
Stages of Change Group
On Wednesday afternoons, the Stages of Change Group brings together individuals who may not yet be interested in making a change to their substance use, or have not yet found the motivation despite their desire. “Contemplative” individuals that attend this group may be looking for an opportunity to explore their options with regards to abstinence, moderated use, or harm reduction. The evidence-based models of Motivational Interviewing, Motivational Enhancement, and Stages of Change are applied in this group, which meets Tuesdays virtually 6:00-8:00 PM and Wednesdays in-person 4:00-6:00 PM.
Seeking Safety Group
Based on the evidence-based models of Seeking Safety, Creating Change, and Finding Your Best Self, this group helps individuals who could benefit from healthy coping strategies for addiction, trauma and other mental health disorders, repairing interpersonal relationships, increasing overall wellness and self-care, and celebrating empowering stories of recovery. Our Seeking Safety group meets virtually on Wednesdays 1:00-3:00 PM.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy Recovery Skills Group
This group is based in the highly effective evidence-based model of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Our DBT Recovery Skills Group meets both in-person and virtually on Thursdays at 2:00-4:00 PM.
Incorporating Wellness in Recovery
Our Incorporating Wellness in Recovery Group is designed to explore the benefits of incorporating a healthy lifestyle in recovery. The group utilizes evidence-based practices from SAMHSA’s Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to include psychodynamic approaches on topics such as obtaining control of overall health and management of stress/stress response during recovery, and an emphasis on exercise, cardiovascular health, and muscle health/fitness. This group wraps up our treatment week on Fridays virtually at 1:00-3:00 PM.
