Medication Assistance Programs
At UNC Health, we offer two programs that may help you to receive your medications at a lower cost.
Update
Important update regarding the Pharmacy Assistance Program (PAP) and Medicaid Expansion. All patients will have an update to their pharmacy benefit program expiration, effective 4/2/2024. Pharmacy benefits will no longer be available unless patients can provide current documentation which shows they are not eligible for Medicaid. This change is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that our program reaches those who need it the most. Patients will receive a letter in the mail pertaining to this program update.
For complete details of Medicaid expansion please NCDHHS online.
