Clinical Services

Pharmacists

Our pharmacists work closely with physicians, nurse navigators and other care coordinators to manage your health care. This enables timely and efficient management of side effects or other issues that may arise during your treatment.

Our staff carefully reviews your electronic medical record (EMR) to ensure that we communicate and counsel appropriately based on your specific needs. Your EMR includes information about your demographics, health conditions, cultural diversity, health literacy, disability and language barriers.

Clinical Management Program

For new specialty medications, a pharmacist will call you to review the medication and to address any questions you have. This discussion will include:

  • how the drug works
  • how and when to take your medications
  • potential side effects
  • when to contact your physician
  • how to store the medication
  • drug disposal
  • an assessment of possible drug interactions

Periodically, a pharmacist will contact you to review your medication(s), assess any side effects you may experience and answer any questions you have. Before each refill, our staff will contact you to schedule the delivery of your medication(s) and to answer any questions you may have.

If you would like to opt-out of the Clinical Management program, please contact the pharmacy at (984) 974-6779 or toll free at (855) 788-4101 (choose option 4). Opting out will require you to contact us for all future refill needs.

In the event of a natural disaster or other emergency that requires you to leave your home:

  • Take at least one week’s worth of your medication with you.

Should a natural disaster be forecast to impact shipping to your area (ex: hurricane), we will work with you to ship medications early or to ship your medication to another place to avoid interruptions in therapy.
