Rotation Description:
This rotation provides an opportunity for residents to dive into the management of inpatient pharmacy operations, including human resources, unit-dose distribution, automation, controlled substances, supply chain, informatics, and process improvement via lean thinking. Residents will lead a number of process improvement projects, participate in and facilitate team meetings, and participate in a number of topic discussions to better understand how the medication use process connects together to help patients obtain the medications they need.
