Precision Medicine
Rotation Description:
The precision medicine rotation will emphasize concepts in pharmacogenomics and appropriate selection of targeted therapeutics based on the molecular characteristics of an individual and their cancer. Founding principles in genomics, pathology, and pharmacotherapy will be covered in depth. The resident will participate in review of challenging cases referred through the UNC Molecular Tumor Board. They will also work collaboratively on programmatic initiatives that strive to support clinicians in providing precision health to patients at UNC through systems integration and point of care infrastructure.
