Leukemia Clinic; International Elective

Rotation Description:

In the leukemia clinic learners will be immersed in medication management w/ a focus on oral chemotherapy, transitions of care, cancer and treatment symptom management, and more. The patient populations managed are acute and chronic leukemias, myeloproliferative neoplasms, aplastic anemia, and other liquid malignant malignancies.
In the international elective, interested PGY2 residents will have the opportunity to be a part of a layered-learning practice experience in Ethiopia with two PY4 learners. The goal of this experience is to provide teaching to MS students in clinical pharmacy at Addis Ababa University (AAU), and provide clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients at Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital (TASH).
