Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases
Rotation Description
Learners on this rotation will have the opportunity to manage complex infections across a variety of immunocompromising conditions including solid organ and hematopoietic cell transplant recipients, chimeric antigen receptor T cell recipients, patients with liquid tumors, and mechanical circulatory support patients. The rotation will focus on core antimicrobial principles such as, right drug, dose, duration, and timely de-escalation, that would be translatable to any practice environment. In addition to clinic care, learners will attend microbiology rounds at McLendon Laboratory and engage with ICID faculty through a dedicated weekly teaching and patient case conference.
