Rotation Description:
This rotation provides exposure to a variety of cardiovascular disease states including, but not limited to, acute coronary syndromes, stable coronary artery disease, heart failure, atrial arrhythmias, ventricular arrhythmias, and valvular disease. During this rotation learners will build on their clinical knowledge and develop their clinical decision making skills. They will learn to function as an integral member of the cardiology team. Integrating information from clinical guidelines and primary literature into the care of patients with cardiovascular diseases will be a major focus of the rotation. The learner will participate in activities including development of safe and effective medication plans, transitions of care planning, and patient counseling.
