Rotation Description
The emergency department at UNC Medical Center serves approximately 70,000 adult and 15,000 pediatric patients yearly. Emergency medicine is a very broad rotation where the resident will be exposed to a variety of different disease states and acuity levels in pediatric patients. Pharmacists respond to traumas, cardiac arrests, strokes, and other high acuity events. The rotation is primarily evening shift and workload will vary daily.
