Lung Cancer/Sarcoma Clinic
Rotation Description
The thoracic oncology ambulatory care rotation will expose the resident to patient populations with lung cancer and sarcoma. The resident will have an opportunity to manage cancer-related pain, nausea/vomiting, and other supportive care situations. The resident will also gain experience in the management of cytotoxic chemotherapy, molecularly targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. Additionally, residents will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and precision medicine specialists to select the most appropriate individualized therapies based the patient’s cancer characteristics.
