Rotation Description
The purpose of this rotation is to provide the learner with a strong foundation in evidence based-medicine, drug information, medication optimization, and drug policy. These objectives will be achieved through rotation projects, readings, topic discussions, and participation in multiple health-system meetings throughout the month.
Rotation activities may include the following:
•Attending System and Medical Center P&T Committee meetings and other relevant operations and clinical meetings
•Answering drug information questions via the health-system Drug Information Center
•Updating Department of Pharmacy or multi-disciplinary policies
•Developing and/or conducting formulary management projects Developing and/or conducting medication optimization projects
•Evaluating non-formulary requests for the Medical Center
•Participating in topic discussions pertinent to evidence-based medicine, biostatistics, clinical trial design, and drug policy
