Rotation Description
This rotation experience will allow residents to develop clinical pharmacy skills associated with the management of adult patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal malignancies. Residents work in collaboration with a care team consisting of physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurse navigators to design and manage evidence-based pharmacotherapy regimens for this patient population. Residents will aid in the identification and resolution of drug therapy problems and will become proficient in chemotherapy knowledge, counseling technique, supportive care for adverse effect management, and resolution of medication access issues.
