Benign Hematology / Coagulation Consult
Rotation Description
The Benign Hematology/Coagulation Consult rotation is a learning experience in which the resident will develop skills associated with the management of patients with benign hematologic disorders. Residents will be exposed to a variety of non-malignant disease states including bleeding disorders, thrombosis, and disorders of platelets, red blood cells, and white blood cells. Additionally, the rotation will focus on clotting factor concentrate management, nuanced anticoagulation decision-making, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
