Rotation Title

Oral Chemotherapy Clinic – UNC McCreary (Remote)

Rotation Description

This remote rotation experience with a focus on oral anticancer agents allows residents to develop clinical pharmacy skills associated with the management of adult patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies in the community setting. Residents work in collaboration with a care team consisting of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other pharmacists to design and manage evidence-based pharmacotherapy regimens for the patient population established with our Lenoir and Granite Falls locations. Residents will aid in the identification and resolution of drug therapy problems and will become proficient in oral oncolytic knowledge, counseling technique, supportive care for adverse effect management, and resolution of medication access issues.
