Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic
Rotation Description
The Pediatric Endocrinology clinics are located in the UNC Children’s Hospital as well as the UNC Children’s Specialty Clinic in Raleigh, NC. The pharmacy resident will gain experience primarily in managing patients with Growth Hormone Deficiency, Central Precocious Puberty, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, and bone disorders. The resident will work with the multidisciplinary team to perform medication reconciliation, review the appropriateness of prescribed medications, process refill and new prescriptions, provide patient counseling, answer drug information questions, assess potential adverse drug reactions, and assist with medication access.
