Rotation Description:
The Neonatal Critical Care Center (NCCC) is a 58 bed major tertiary care nursery providing care for medically fragile, preterm, ill and surgical newborns. The resident will independently participate in clinical rounds and is expected to design and implement age-appropriate pharmacotherapy plans, provide accurate and timely responses to pediatric drug information questions, collect and monitor patient specific information to assess the efficacy of drug therapy, review medication orders, respond to code blue emergencies, and demonstrate knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacotherapy, and complications of disease states commonly seen within neonatal patients.
