340B Program
Rotation Description:
The UNC Health 340B Program team ensures the integrity of the 340B Program for UNC Medical Center and contracted hospitals by maintaining compliance with the program. This rotation is a 1-month learning experience with the 340B Program team. This rotation is designed to allow the PGY2 resident to gain knowledge and experience in 340B Program management, leadership and practice management, problem solving, and communication.
Residents will be able to:
- Attend covered entities’ 340B Oversight Council or Pharmacy Business Review meetings
- Attend relevant meetings (e.g., mixed use, retail/contract pharmacy, external vendors)
- Complete Apexus’ 340B University on Demand coursework
- Participate in projects or initiatives related to the 340B Program as opportunities arise
- Orient to common 340B universes (e.g., mixed use and clean sites, in-house outpatient pharmacies and contract pharmacies, homecare, nuclear medicine, etc.)
- Participate in topic discussions about 340B Program
