ID Consults-General, ID Consults-Immunocompromised (offered to PGY2s only), Antimicrobial Stewardship
Rotation Description:
The ID Consult Rotation focuses on foundational knowledge and application of ID pharmacotherapy through participation on the ID consult team. The Antimicrobial Stewardship Rotation reinforces principles related to appropriate uses of antimicrobial agents. ID pharmacy residents will participate as members of the Carolina Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (CASP). This experience incorporates both clinical practice and involvement in a variety of CASP initiatives. Emphasis on both rotations is placed on patient care monitoring, incorporating primary evidence into practice, and refining communication skills.
