Rotation Description:
The UNC Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Outpatient Clinic is located with the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and services pediatric patients with malignant and non-malignant conditions. The resident can expect to gain exposure to pediatric patients with leukemia, lymphoma and solid tumors. Residents will work closely with a variety of practitioners such as other pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, fellows and attending physicians, to collaborate and provide care for pediatric patients within this clinic. They will help provide medication reconciliation, chemotherapy counseling and monitoring and drug information for patients and other health professionals.
