Why UNC
As a pharmacy student, I had the opportunity to rotate at UNC Medical Center and was struck by the passion and dedication to pharmacy practice I saw in the preceptors, residents, and administrators here. I knew that continuing my training here as a resident would allow me to experience a wide range of clinical rotations and challenge me to practice at the top of my license, but it was really the spirit and culture of the pharmacy department at UNC that made me want to stay. Throughout the interview process and since starting residency, I have been inspired by my interactions with preceptors, my co-residents, and pharmacy staff. They are not only committed to clinical excellence, but also to cultivating an environment that encourages learning at every level and taking care of each other. Since I stepped foot on campus over 8 years ago as an undergraduate student, I knew UNC was a special place, and my experiences at UNC Medical Center as a resident have only strengthened that belief!
