Why UNC

When selecting a residency program, I wanted the opportunity to experience pharmacy practice somewhere new. It was important to me to seek out a program that would allow me to play an active role on patient care teams and practice at the top of my license. UNC quickly stood out for its collaborative environment and commitment to advancing the pharmacy profession. The diverse rotations offered matched my interests in working with high-acuity, complex patient populations and demonstrated how engrained pharmacists were throughout the institution. Additionally, the program’s strong emphasis on teaching and mentorship through the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy aligned with my future goals. As an out-of-state resident, I felt immediately welcomed and supported by UNC’s large network of leadership, preceptors, and co-residents, and I am excited for the year ahead!
