Development and Standardization of a Definition for "Pharmacy Desserts" in NC

Why UNC

UNC is dedicated to community development and excellence. This health system offers robust opportunities for residents to gain both clinical and administrative experience, preparing them to thrive in the workplace. Not only does UNC strive for excellence in patient care and innovation, but they also prioritize resident well-being. The culture at UNC encourages open communication and fosters an environment where residents feel supported by their peers and mentors. I was particularly drawn to this program because of its extensive network of leaders in various areas of pharmacy practice. The UNC HSPAL program stands as a pillar in the leadership community allowing residents to work on unique projects while pursuing an MS degree. Through the MS program, HSPAL residents have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with peers from across the country. Ultimately, I chose UNC because from the moment I met the pharmacists who represent this hospital, I felt welcomed and at home. This assured me that UNC is a place where I can grow both as a pharmacist and as a person.
