Why UNC
I chose to pursue a Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency at UNC Medical Center for several compelling reasons. A key factor that drew me to this program is the opportunity for system-level rotations. Experiences at off-site locations, such as UNC’s Shared Services Center, will allow me to gain valuable exposure to areas of interest like supply chain management. The MS program offered at UNC is another significant reason for my choice. This program not only prepares us to become future leaders but also facilitates connections with HSPAL residents from across the country. This network will enable us to share innovative ideas, explore research topics, and exchange perspectives on various practice models. Finally, I am impressed by the culture at UNC. As an academic medical center, it fosters a collaborative environment where every member of the patient care team values learning and uses teaching moments to promote clinical growth for both pharmacy and medical residents.
