Why UNC

I was drawn to the pediatric-focused oncology program at UNC Health Medial Center for the unique and exciting opportunity to blend cutting-edge oncology pharmacy practice with high-level pediatric practice. I felt that UNC's rotation offerings in adult oncology and general pediatrics management would help me develop into a well-rounded pharmacist prepared to care for patients across the spectrum of pediatric oncology. The dedication of the residency leadership and preceptor group to my personal and professional development were evident throughout all interactions with them, and I knew from the start that UNC would be the most supportive and encouraging environment for my PGY-2 experience. The positive, wellbeing-focused culture of UNC has been absolutely invaluable in my residency experience, and I feel lucky to work alongside such welcoming and inclusive preceptors and co-residents!
