Why UNC

Going into Emergency Medicine, UNC's unique and complex patients help me see all kinds of disease states that I haven't been exposed to. That diversity of patients allows me to participate in learning experiences such as the surgical ICU, burn ICU, obstretrics, and pyschiatric ED which will empower me to be a verstaile EM pharmacist. Opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration are also abundant at UNC as I am excited to get involved in the weekly medical residents' EM conferences, pharmacy education board for nursing, and EMS ride alongs to gain a more hollistic view of Emergency Medicine. Additionally, the affiliation with the UNC Eschelman School of Pharmacy provides ample time for teaching and preceptorship. Overrall, everyone I have met, whether they work in the ED or elsewhere or whether they are part of pharmacy or another discipline, genuinely wants to create a safe and supportive space for learners during their residency years and beyond for both professional or personal matters!
