Why UNC

I initially became interested in UNC Medical Center's pharmacy residency program because I was looking for a program at a large academic medical center that could provide me with a wide variety of clinical, teaching, research, and leadership opportunities. What immediately made UNC stick out to me was that on top of all of the professional opportunities, there was an overwhelming sense of community and belonging across the entire program. Each of us feel consistent and dedicated support from our program leadership, preceptors, and co-residents.
My PGY1 year at UNC was full of experiences, challenges, and friendships that I am incredibly grateful for; and I know that my Critical Care PGY2 year will allow me to build the skills necessary to help optimize care for critically ill patients as an integral member of the interprofessional team. UNC is a truly special place and I couldn't be more excited to grow as a pharmacist and person throughout my PGY2 year!
