Why UNC

When deciding on a residency program, I knew UNC was the perfect fit for me due to the numerous opportunities that aligned with my professional and personal goals. I desired a challenging learning environment that offered diverse clinical experiences in both the ambulatory care and inpatient settings. At UNC, pharmacists are valued as an integral part of the patient-centered care team in both these settings, which truly fosters the development of well-rounded clinicians. The close relationship between the College of Pharmacy and the Medical Center was also important to me, as I am enthusiastic about educating and inspiring learners. Lastly, I chose UNC because of the people! After interacting with various UNC affiliated professionals, I experienced the passion for mentorship and community. This intentional support expands beyond the professional setting to ensure residents prioritize their wellbeing and life outside of work. This support system paired with an intense, top-notch learning experience is what made my decision easy! I believed UNC would provide the best environment for me to sharpen my clinical skills, advance patient care, and invest in the development of future pharmacists.
