Donations to UNC Volunteer Services
Interested in donating to the UNC Medical Center? Thank you for thinking of us! We are not always able to accept last minute donations; therefore, please contact our office to verify your donation and schedule a drop-off. Below is a list of generally accepted items.
We Can Accept Brand New Items Of:
- Activity bags with items such as small toys, pencils, stickers, etc. for children. The bags need to be open (unsealed) or see-through.
- Beanie babies/stuffed animals
- Blank notebooks
- Crossword/sudoku/word search/puzzle books
- Art supplies such as colored pencils, coloring books (all ages), canvas or art paper to paint/draw on, tissue paper, colored paper, markers, googly eyes, stickers, and etc.
- Games (playing cards/UNO cards/board games/handheld single player games)
- Hair items such as barrettes, etc.
- Hot Wheels cars
- Nail polish
- Play dough/silly putty
- Purchased lap blankets, baby blankets, or baby caps
- Homemade stuffed animals "stuffies" or blankets

Unfortunately, We Are Unable to Accept
- Food
- Used toys/toys that have already been in someone's home
- Religious items
- Latex balloons
- Items sealed or wrapped (such as in wrapping paper or envelopes)
- Magazines older than 6 months old
