A Symposium for High School Students, Counselors, and Educators

Annually, the UNC Medical Center Volunteer Association is pleased to offer our Health Careers Symposium as a unique opportunity to high school students interested in pursuing a health career. Every year a new topic is chosen, followed by a tour of our many hospitals and departments, as well as hands-on experience with our patient simulators.

A typical Symposium schedule

  • Breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m.
  • Morning medical topic with guest speakers
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon hospital tours
  • The program is completed by 2:30 p.m.
